CEU Approved List

The following continuing education programs have been approved by the board’s Continuing Education Committee. All courses are listed by month.

These courses are in .PDF format. The free Adobe Acrobat Viewer is required to view them.

The board recognizes four (4) types of continuing education providers: Limited, Certified, Preferred & Self Study. You may submit only six (6) hours of continuing education from a Limited Provider and five (5) for Self Study. There are no restrictions on the number of hours you may submit from a Certified or Preferred Provider, except that only five (5) hours of SS/dl/webinar hours are accepted, regardless of provider status.

 "Limited Providers" are identified by the BENHA approval numbers with the letter "L" in the middle (e.g. 000-L-00).

 "Certified Providers" are identified by the BENHA approval numbers with the letter "C" in the middle (e.g. 000-C-00).

 "Preferred Providers" are identified by the BENHA approval numbers with the letter "P" in the middle (e.g. ABCD1-P-00).

"Self Study is defined by the BENHA approval numbers starting witht the letters "SS" (e.g. SS-00-00)

 Please Note: The Board will also accept continuing education courses approved by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long-Term Care Administrators (NAB). To verify whether a course has been approved by NAB, please call them at (202) 712-9040 or visit their Web site at www.nabweb.org. 

The Board will accept five (5) hours of home study programs per renewal period. Home study must be approved by NAB.  This includes any program conducted outside a traditional classroom setting, including distance learning and webinars.

NOTE: NAB approved courses are identified with "in" or "dl"

The board will also accept continuing education courses approved by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long-Term Care Administrators (NAB). There are no restrictions on the number of hours you may submit from NAB-approved courses (excluding self-study/webinar/dl).

in = in class; the continuing education course occurs in a classroom setting. There is no limit to number of hours accepted.

dl = distance learning; the continuing education course is the same as webinar, self-study, or on-line type courses. Only (5) hours of this type of units are accepted

Remember . . . All courses listed are subject to change. It is recommended that you contact the provider in advance to verify whether a course has been changed or canceled. Telephone numbers are listed next to the provider’s name.

Date This column lists the date(s) the program is scheduled to be presented.
Program Title This column lists the title of the continuing education program.
Sponsor/Location/
Phone No.		 This column lists the sponsor of the course, the city where the course is being presented, and the phone number to call to register and/or obtain additional information for the course.
Hrs. This column lists the number of credit hours the course was approved for.
BENHA No. This column lists the BENHA approval number assigned to the course.
Cost This column lists the course’s registration fee. The word “$call” in this column indicates that you should contact the sponsor to confirm the registration fee for the course.
